OUR STORY

  Mike and Molly Tilley left the suburbs of Chicago to settle and start a business in the small town of Oakland, Illinois.

Mike is a veteran of the Marine Corps, and has lived and traveled all over the U.S., as well as around the world when serving with the military. Mike got his start in mechanics with motorcycles, later working on trucks and becoming an owner-operator of a semi. Molly is originally from Woodstock, IL, and worked as a real estate agent for more than 20 years.

  Following the pandemic, they both wanted a change and decided to start their own trucking company. Molly quit real estate to serve as dispatcher and quickly put the deal negotiation skills she’d honed in real estate to work in the trucking business. Mike drove his truck across all 48 continental states, and they soon added two more drivers, both from downstate Illinois.

  Mike and Molly fell in love with East-Central Illinois as they spent more time in the area, so after three years of trucking, they decided to move to Oakland and open their own auto repair shop and towing business.

​

  The Tilleys launched Turn One Tire & Auto in the summer of 2023, and hit the ground running. They offer tire sales and service and automotive maintenance and repair such as oil changes, battery replacement, brakes, and alternators. They also have a 24-hour towing and roadside assistance service, including lockouts and roadside tire changes.

  Mike and Molly are excited to serve their new community and look forward to expanding the business.
